It was a beautiful, sunny day when I visited the magnificent Hoysaleswara Temple, located within the district of Karnataka in Southern India. Built in the 12th century, the temple had been dedicated to Lord Shiva – one of the most cherished Hindu gods to date. Instantly, the impeccable architecture took my breath away. I couldn’t help but ask myself, how did the human race seem to lose our mastery to create such ornate designs and elaborate panel reliefs at such a grand scale? It was a sight to behold and I did not want to leave.





The intricacy of each and every sculpture that was etched into the walls and doorways of the temple told stories of dancing…

      1. Thank you. While you’re there please take in the architectural marvels of thr Cholas & Pandya kings in Tamil Nadu. I was born and brought up there but they ever fail to impress every single time
